My needs – so that the person helping you knows what you want.
Voluntary. Your words. You decide what is shared, with whom and when.
If a life is in danger: call 112. Healthcare advice: 1177. This does not replace advice from healthcare.
My needs is not open to everyone in the app yet. Here we describe how it works when it opens.
Why this exists
A foggy morning and a window that opens.
Thick fog lies over the city. A passenger with asthma gets into the taxi. The driver means well and opens the window for some fresh air, and for her the cold, damp air makes it harder to breathe. No one did anything wrong. The driver simply did not know.
One line is enough
With My needs, the passenger could have said it in advance, with a single line: «Ask before you open the window». The driver sees the line after accepting the ride. My needs is not healthcare and not a guarantee. It simply means that the person helping you knows what you want, before you have to say it.
How it works
Three steps, and you decide in each one.
My needs is a card in My account in the app. You can save the lines in your account, or choose them for a single booking without saving anything.
01
What you choose stays on your phone
If you like, you can first choose what the app should take into account, for example asthma or a severe allergy, and it suggests lines that usually fit. That choice stays on your phone and is never sent to us. No suggestion is ticked in advance.
02
You choose the lines
The lines say what the person helping you should do, for example «Ask before you open the window», that the car should not smell of perfume, or that you may need to stop for a while. You can also write a line of your own of up to 140 characters. It is shown exactly as you wrote it.
03
You share one booking at a time
When you book a ride there is the row «My needs · Share with the driver for this booking». There you can remove single lines for just that ride. The driver sees the lines only after accepting, and the copy is deleted 24 hours after the ride.
You see when the driver has read them
When the driver has read your lines they tap «I have read it», and your ride shows «The driver has read your wishes». Until then it shows «Not confirmed yet», and you can always write to the driver in the chat. With «Stop showing» the lines disappear from the driver's screen at once.
Who sees what – and when
No one sees anything before they have accepted.
The driver or the company sees the lines and your own line, never what you chose to take into account. No one may turn you away because of your needs.
Taxi
The driver of your ride sees the lines from the moment they accept until the ride is over. The request sent to drivers contains nothing about your needs, not even a marker, and other drivers never see anything. The copy on the booking is deleted 24 hours after the ride.
Food
The restaurant's kitchen, from the moment the restaurant has received your order until the food is delivered or collected. Never on receipts, printed tickets or the courier's screen. The copy is deleted 24 hours after.
The rules for whoever sees the lines
The person doing the job sees only the lines for their own service, only for that booking and only while the job is under way. The lines are shown in their app language, Swedish, English or Arabic, with the Swedish original underneath. Every viewing is logged, and you see it under «Who has seen my needs».
As today, you choose a folding wheelchair, a walker or a guide dog when you book the ride. They are visible before a driver accepts, because they decide which car can take you. They are not part of My needs.
Ask first
Every driver, every ride.
Every driver has the card «If the customer feels unwell» on every ride, even when the customer has not filled in anything. It says what the driver should do, not what the customer has.
01
Ask the customer what they want
Ask first. Do not open the window or change the air in the car without asking.
02
Stop when you can
If the customer asks you to stop, do so at a suitable place as soon as you can.
03
Call 112 if breathing is very difficult
Say what has happened and where you are, and follow the operator's advice. Help with the customer's own medicine only if they ask.
If something happens
Call 112. The app opens your own call.
If a life is in danger: call 112. Healthcare advice: 1177. This does not replace advice from healthcare.
«I'm not feeling well»
In the ride there is the button «I'm not feeling well». It gives you three choices with one tap, without having to speak: ask the driver to stop, ask the driver to close the windows and not let air in from outside, or call 112. The driver gets your request as a large box on the screen. If you choose 112, the app opens your phone's own call, and the alert is recorded with the ride's details. The button is there for every passenger, with or without My needs.
The emergency card
In My needs you can also write an emergency card: in your own words, what you want the person helping you to know in an emergency, for example conditions, allergies and medicines, and a contact person from your trusted contacts. It opens only in the app, never on the lock screen or in a notification. It needs an internet connection, because it is not stored on your phone.
With a separate consent, which you can withdraw whenever you like, SeeYouSoon's on-call team may read the emergency card if you have raised an SOS. Without that consent, no one at SeeYouSoon reads it. Every reading is logged and shown to you under «Who has seen my needs».
Fill in your phone's own emergency card too
Your phone's own emergency information works without internet and can be shown from the lock screen to the person helping you. On an iPhone it is in the Health app under Medical ID. On Android it is in the settings, often as Emergency information or Medical information. The guide in the app shows you how, and saves nothing.
Support answers around the clock
Support in the app answers around the clock. But SeeYouSoon never calls 112 for you and never replaces the emergency number. If a life is in danger, you call 112 yourself, or someone who is with you does.
Only raise the alarm when you need help. An unnecessary call to 112 takes time from someone else, and a false alarm is a criminal offence. If you have called by mistake: do not hang up, say that it was a mistake.
Food and allergies
According to the restaurant, and you can always ask.
The restaurant is responsible for the information about the 14 allergens being correct, both before you order and when the food arrives. The app shows what the restaurant itself has stated.
How it is shown
If you have saved allergies in My needs, the app compares them with what the restaurant has stated for each dish. If a dish contains one of them, it says for example «Contains Milk according to the restaurant». If the restaurant has not stated the allergens, it says «Allergens not stated – ask the restaurant». We never write that a dish is right for you.
If you have a severe allergy: contact the restaurant before you order. If you share your allergies with the order, the kitchen sees them only once the restaurant has accepted your order, and answers «Understood – we can arrange it» or «Can't guarantee it». If the kitchen answers «Can't guarantee it», you can cancel at no cost as long as the food has not left the restaurant.
You are in control
One consent per purpose. Delete everything with one tap.
Nothing is switched on until you choose it yourself. The booking, the price, your place in the queue and which driver gets the ride are exactly the same whether you share anything or not.
One consent per purpose
One to save the lines in your account, one each time you share them with a booking, and one for the on-call team to read your emergency card. Nothing is ticked in advance, and you can withdraw every consent.
Nothing is shared by itself
The switch on the booking is off from the start, unless you yourself have chosen for the app to suggest sharing. You can pause sharing whenever you like.
«Who has seen my needs»
A list of every time someone has seen your lines or your emergency card: when, in which service and whether it was the person doing the job or SeeYouSoon's on-call team.
«Delete everything»
One tap and one confirmation. Everything is deleted at once, including the copy on a booking that is under way. If you delete your account, everything goes with it.
«Is this still right?»
Once a year the app asks whether the lines are still right. Nothing is deleted unless you have chosen it.
Your data
The lines, the emergency card, your shares and the list of who has seen them are included when you download your data in the app.
Only for your own bookings
My needs applies to the account holder. If you book a ride for someone else, or the ride is booked by phone, no lines are shown. That person can add their own needs in their own account.
The lines are stored encrypted. The app does not store them on your phone: they are fetched when you open My needs and forgotten when you sign out.
What it is not
Not healthcare. No diagnosis. No ads.
Not a medical device
My needs makes no diagnosis, gives no advice, assesses no risk and does not count salt, sugar or doses. It does not replace advice from healthcare.
Never for ads
Your lines are never used for ads, offers, the club or recommendations.
Never used to judge you
They never affect the price, your place in the queue or which driver gets the ride, and are never used to rank or judge you.
It raises no alarm on its own
My needs raises no alarm and sends nothing to 112. You do that yourself: the app opens your call.
For drivers and partners
The lines are for that booking only.
What we require
Whoever sees the lines uses them only for that booking. They do not copy, photograph or save them, and do not tell anyone else. Ask first. Turning a customer away because of their needs is not allowed with us. If a driver cancels shortly after seeing the lines, a person on our team reviews it, and no one is penalised automatically.
If you feel you have been turned away because of your needs: tell support in the app.
Sources
Where the information comes from.
Fog: if you have chosen a line about the windows or the air, the driver may get a reminder to keep the windows closed when SMHI's forecast shows fog where you are picked up. The reminder shows the source and when the data was last updated. If the data is missing, no reminder is shown, and your own line always applies.

We show no information about air quality or pollen.
Allergens: what the restaurant itself has stated for each dish.
Common questions
Straight answers about My needs.
No. My needs is entirely voluntary, and nothing is switched on until you choose it yourself. The booking, the price, your place in the queue and which driver gets the ride are exactly the same whether you share anything or not.
Only if you write it yourself. What you choose to take into account stays on your phone and is never sent to us. The driver sees the lines about what to do and your own line exactly as you wrote it, and only after accepting the ride. So write what the driver should do, not your diagnosis. The driver never sees your emergency card.
The driver sees nothing about your needs before accepting, not even that you have any. Turning a customer away because of their needs is not allowed with us, and if a driver cancels shortly after seeing the lines, a person on our team reviews it. If you feel you have been turned away: tell support in the app.
The copy on a booking is deleted 24 hours after the ride is over, and the driver sees it only while the ride is under way. The lines you save in your account stay until you delete them or delete the account, and once a year the app asks whether they are still right. The emergency card stays until you delete it.
Only the driver who drives that ride, from the moment they accept until the ride is over. Other drivers see nothing. Every viewing is logged, and you see the list under «Who has seen my needs» in the app.
No. SeeYouSoon never calls 112 for you. If you tap «Call 112» in the app, your phone's own call opens. Support in the app answers around the clock, but if a life is in danger you call 112 yourself, or someone who is with you does.
Your own text about what you want the person helping you to know in an emergency, and a contact person from your trusted contacts. It opens only in the app and needs an internet connection. SeeYouSoon's on-call team can read it only if you have given a separate consent and have raised an SOS, and every reading is logged. Fill in your phone's own emergency card too: it works without internet and from the lock screen.
As today. You choose them when you book the ride, and they are visible before a driver accepts, because they decide which car can take you. They are not part of My needs.
Open My needs in the app, tap «Delete everything» and confirm once. Everything is deleted at once, including the copy on a booking that is under way. If you delete your whole account, everything goes with it.
The information is the restaurant's own, and the restaurant is responsible for it being correct. The app writes «according to the restaurant», and if the restaurant has not stated anything it says «Allergens not stated – ask the restaurant». If you have a severe allergy: contact the restaurant before you order. If the kitchen answers «Can't guarantee it», you can cancel at no cost as long as the food has not left the restaurant.
