What we store in your browser.

This page sets out everything that the website, the app and the panel store in your browser, why, for how long, and how you change your choices or remove it.

1. Who is responsible

SeeYouSoon is operated by Timmarna Platform (sole trader, organisation number 970905-3558), Lilla Bommen 1, 411 04 Göteborg. We are responsible for what the website (seeyousoon.se), the app (app.seeyousoon.se) and the panel (admin.seeyousoon.se) store in your browser.

The rules are in lagen om elektronisk kommunikation (2022:482) (the Electronic Communications Act), Chapter 9, Section 28. It says that we may store or read information on your phone or computer only if you have been told why and have consented, except where it is needed to transmit the information or for a service you have asked for yourself. The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) supervises that rule.

Where what is stored is personal data, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies, and the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) supervises that. How we otherwise process your personal data is set out in our privacy policy.

2. What cookies and storage are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser and that is sent back to the website on your next visit.

The browser also has other ways of storing things, and the law applies to them in the same way:

  • localStorage keeps information in the browser until it is removed. It is not sent anywhere automatically.
  • sessionStorage keeps information for one tab only. It disappears when you close the tab.
  • Cache Storage keeps files and responses so that they are available, for example when the app is closed.
  • A service worker is a small program that the browser runs for a website, for example to receive notifications.

You can view and remove everything stored in your browser yourself (see section 11).

We divide what we store as follows:

  • Necessary: needed for what you yourself ask for, for example being signed in, having a basket or making sure your booking is not sent twice. It does not require consent.
  • Your choice: stored only when you choose something yourself, for example language or appearance, so that the choice applies next time.
  • With your yes: makes things easier for you, for example your recent addresses, but the service works without it. Stored only if you have said yes.
  • Statistics: helps us count and understand how the service is used.
  • Marketing: has to do with advertising.

A name ending in * in the tables below is a group sharing the same beginning, for example one per ride or per driver.

3. The cookie banner on the website

The first time you visit the website, our own cookie banner is shown. It comes from our own server and loads nothing from other companies.

  • “Reject all” and “Accept all” sit side by side. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
  • “Settings” shows the three categories. Necessary is always on. Statistics and Marketing are off until you turn them on yourself.
  • Today there is no tool in Statistics or Marketing, and the banner says so. Your choice therefore changes nothing on the website today. If we ever add a tool, the banner will name it, and you will be asked again before it is used.

Your choice is stored in your browser under the name sy_consent, together with the date and the version of the settings you responded to. The banner asks again if the version changes.

You change or withdraw your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Once you have made your choice, your browser sends it to our server. The server only counts how many people have accepted or rejected each category per day. It does not store your IP address or anything else that can be linked to you.

4. The website

The website seeyousoon.se sets no cookies. It stores only the following:

The website fetches nothing from other companies. The fonts are hosted by us, and the pages talk only to our own server.

5. The app

The app at app.seeyousoon.se sets no cookies, but it stores more than the website in the browser’s storage, because you sign in and book in it. The phone apps for Android and iPhone have not been published yet, so this section describes the app in the browser.

The app asks once: «Kom ihåg på den här telefonen?». Most of what it stores is needed for what you ask for. Some copies that make things faster next time are stored only if you answer «Ja, kom ihåg» (section 6).

When you sign out, everything whose name begins with seeusoon_ is removed, except the language, your accessibility choices, the map app, the fact that you have seen the start screen, and the list of features that are turned on. The sign-in with OnzAuth is also removed. What remains after signing out is set out in the tables.

When you delete your account, everything the app has stored about you on the device is removed in the same way as when you sign out, including the sign-in with OnzAuth.

For drivers and businesses

If you drive for a taxi company and share a phone with other drivers: sign out after your shift. The details of the latest ride (syu.driver.ride_out) remain after you sign out until the ride is completed or for at most 8 hours.

6. What is stored only if you want it

Some copies are not needed for the app to work, but make things faster next time: your recent addresses and searches, your latest flight search, your delivery address for food, details from your moving requests and copies of your profile and your choices. That is why the app asks once on the home screen: «Kom ihåg på den här telefonen?».

  • If you answer «Ja, kom ihåg», the copies in the table below are stored on the phone until you sign out or change your mind.
  • If you answer «Nej tack» (No thanks), they are not stored. The features still work, but the app forgets them when you close it. Anything already stored is deleted immediately.
  • Your answer and when you answered are stored in sy_consent on the phone. You can change it at any time under «Profil» (Profile) → «Integritet & data» (Privacy & data) → «Lagring på telefonen» (Storage on the phone).
  • Statistics and marketing are not used in the app. We count how many people answer per day, without storing who you are or your IP address.
  • Sensitive details such as personal identity numbers, door codes and your answers in Omtanke are never kept on the phone; a moving request you have started, including the door code, exists only until you close the tab.

The app also counts how many times an advert is shown and clicked. This is done without any id and without anything being stored in your browser.

An id for taxi searches (which lets us count how many price enquiries become bookings) and the marker that the large advertisement box on the home screen has already been shown exist only in the app’s memory while it is open. Neither of them is stored on your phone.

7. The panel

The panel at admin.seeyousoon.se is for our staff and for connected businesses. It sets no cookies, but stores the following in the browser:

Sign-in

Choices and views

Sketches

Pages marked «Skiss» (Sketch) are shown only to administrators. They are proposals with example data, and they store it in the browser:

8. The customer service chat

The chat icon in the app opens the customer service chat at chat.seeyousoon.se. The chat is run by CX Genie, which we engage for this purpose. It loads only when you tap the icon, and you chat as a guest: the app does not send your name, your e-mail address or your sign-in to the chat. The answers come from an AI assistant, and questions about money and complaints go to customer service.

The chat is CX Genie’s program, even though it is on our address. This is what it stores in your browser, as far as we have been able to see:

What the chat fetches from other companies is set out in section 10. How we process what you write is set out in our privacy policy and in AI at SeeYouSoon.

9. Cookies from our server

Our server (api.seeyousoon.se) currently sets no cookies.

10. Other companies your browser contacts

This is not storage, but we tell you anyway: when your browser fetches something directly from another company, that company sees your IP address and which browser you use. That company may in turn set its own cookies on its own domain, and we do not control those.

What the chat fetches. The customer service chat talks to CX Genie’s server and fetches its feature settings from GrowthBook. It fetches fonts from Google Fonts, rsms.me and Adobe Fonts. It can find out your approximate country by asking the services ipify and IPinfo about your IP address. If something goes wrong in the chat, the error message and the chat’s address are sent to a service run by East Players.

Links you tap. When you tap a link to, for example, Google Maps, Waze, Apple Maps, Spotify or a travel partner, you leave the app. That service’s own rules then apply.

The website seeyousoon.se fetches nothing from other companies.

11. How to remove what has been stored

  • On the website you change your choice with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.
  • In the app you remove most of it by signing out (see section 5).
  • Everything at once can be removed by clearing site data in your browser. It is called different things in different browsers, but is usually found under Settings and Privacy, Security or Site data. Choose seeyousoon.se, app.seeyousoon.se, admin.seeyousoon.se or chat.seeyousoon.se and remove the data.
  • If you clear site data, you will be signed out and your choices will have to be made again.

You can also turn off all storage in your browser’s settings. Signing in to the app and the panel may then stop working.

12. Changes, questions and complaints

When we change what we store, we change this page and its version. If we add anything to Statistics or Marketing on the website, the cookie banner will ask you again before it is used.

If you have questions, write to [email protected].

If you think that we store or read something on your phone or computer without being allowed to, you can contact the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (pts.se). If it concerns your personal data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (imy.se).
