Terms for you as a driver in SeeYouSoon.
This page sets out what applies when you drive a taxi or do towing through the app: who you have an agreement with, how rides are dispatched, what the app does about rest and driving time, who decides about your account and what data we collect.
In brief
- You drive for a taxi company that holds the taxi operating licence, or for your own company. SeeYouSoon runs the app and the booking service.
- Our server dispatches rides according to rules set out under «How dispatch works» in the app. You can return a ride before you have started it, free of charge.
- The app blocks «Go online» and takes you offline when your rest, your driving time or a document is not sufficient. You are always told why.
- A suspension is always decided by a person, with a written reason. You can request a review in the app, and a person will reply to you.
- We collect your location only when you are online or have a ride in progress.
- The first time you go online with a new version of the terms, the app shows a summary and a link to the full text, and you must actively tap «I accept the driver terms» before you can go online.
1. Who you have an agreement with
- You are the driver. You drive in the app with your own account.
- Your taxi company holds the taxi operating licence (taxitrafiktillstånd) and is responsible for the taxi operation, the car, the taximeter and the ride in relation to the customer. You agree with the company on what you are paid and on how you are employed or engaged. If you drive under your own licence, you are yourself the taxi company.
- SeeYouSoon runs the app and the booking service: we receive the booking, calculate the fixed price and dispatch the ride. SeeYouSoon is run by Timmarna Platform (sole trader), corporate ID no. 970905-3558, Lilla Bommen 1, 411 04 Göteborg.
The taxi company has an agreement with us under the partner terms. We take no commission on the rides. For you as a customer in the app, the terms of use apply, and how we process your data is set out in the privacy policy.
2. Before you can drive and your obligations in traffic
You apply in the app and upload your documents, for example your driving licence and taxi driver's licence (kept privately in storage under EU jurisdiction, seeyousoon-kyc-eu). SeeYouSoon's taxi team reviews them. You can go online only once your account is approved, you are linked to a taxi company with a valid licence, you have an approved car and you have tapped «I accept the driver terms».
- No exclusivity and publicly funded shifts. You and the car are never exclusive to SeeYouSoon and are free to drive for other dispatch centres and platforms. However, you must never be signed in as available on SeeYouSoon at the same time as the car is performing an exclusive shift within publicly procured special transport services (färdtjänst) or school transport where the contract prohibits other traffic.
- Taximeter and price sticker. Every taxi ride is registered in the taximeter when the ride starts, and under Chapter 2, Section 17 of the Taxi Traffic Act the pre-agreed price may never exceed the highest comparison price on the car's price sticker.
- Express parcel. When you drive a standalone parcel delivery without passengers, the job must be entered on the taximeter's goods tariff with 25 % VAT (TSFS 2013:41), never on the passenger tariff (6 %). So that the vehicle continues to be used mainly for passenger transport (Chapter 2, Section 16 of the Taxi Traffic Act), the parcel share is tracked per vehicle and financial year: the system warns at a 35 % parcel share and blocks new parcel jobs for the vehicle at a 45 % parcel share.
3. How rides are dispatched
Rides are dispatched by our server, not by a person. The platform chooses one of three methods, and the app shows under «How dispatch works» which one applies now, the order in which drivers are chosen and who does not get the ride.
- Direct assignment. The server gives the ride directly to the driver who can get there first, without any other ride in that driver's plan becoming late. You are not asked. If a ride in your queue becomes too late, the server can move it to a driver who can get there sooner, and you are then told. The ride you are driving or on your way to is never moved by the server.
- Offers one at a time. One driver at a time receives the ride request and has a limited time to respond. If you decline or do not respond, the request moves on.
- Everyone sees the request. The request is shown to the drivers nearby at the same time, and whoever takes it first gets the ride.
The order is based on where the car is, when you can arrive given the rides you already have, any taxi queue at a station, the «Drive towards home» mode and who has the least empty driving. You get no ride when you are offline or on a break, when the app has not received your location for a while, when the car does not match the ride's car class or add-ons, when your documents are not valid, when the ride would end after the end time you have set, or when you or the customer has blocked the other.
You can return a ride before you have started it. It then goes to another driver. Declining or returning a ride costs you nothing and does not lower your rating. You may never refuse or charge for a «Guide or assistance dog (free of charge)». If you have a proven allergy, return the ride at once and it goes to another car; you show the certificate to your taxi company, not to us. If a customer shares their wishes in «My needs», only you who drive the ride see them while the ride is ongoing, and only once you tap «Accept» on the confidentiality terms: you treat the wishes as strictly confidential and may never copy, screenshot, save or use them outside the ride. The taxi team can also give a ride to a driver manually.
4. Ratings, blocking and monitoring
After the ride, the customer can rate you and choose words about the ride. The customer sees your average rating and how many rides you have driven. Some of the parts below exist only when the platform has switched them on.
- Your rating in dispatch. Your rating is not used when rides are dispatched unless the platform has switched it on. In that case, «How dispatch works» states how much it weighs.
- Blocking. After a ride, a customer can choose not to be matched with you again. This applies in both directions, you are not told who it is, and only the customer can lift it. Anyone who has reported something about a ride can also block the other party, and the team reviews it. You can block a customer in the same way.
- Review. Many low ratings or complaints within a certain period can lead to your account being proposed for review. A person opens the review and decides, always with a written justification. No rating changes anything about your account by itself.
- Follow-up and club checks. The taxi team can see, for each driver, the share of ride requests accepted, cancellations, time online, fares per hour, ratings and cases. Each day the server also automatically looks for signs of abuse or self-dealing in SeeYouSoon Club, for example repeated rides with the same customer account (based on legitimate interests under Article 6.1(f) and information under Article 14 GDPR) or ride starts without the customer's code. This is material for a person on the team to review, and no such figure or signal does anything to your account or your points on its own.
5. Rest, driving time and documents
The server applies some blocks itself, without a person involved at the time. They follow the rules on rest time and the requirements for driving a taxi, and the app always says why.
- Rest and driving time. The app counts your time online and what you add yourself, across all your accounts. If you have not rested enough or your driving time is up, you cannot go online or take rides, and the server takes you offline when your driving time is up, after the ride you are driving. No one on our side can make an exception. The app's count does not replace your logbook (tidbok), which you must keep by law.
- Documents. If a required document has expired, whether yours, the car's or the company's licence, you cannot go online, and the app takes you offline and tells you what is missing. You and the company get a reminder before a document expires.
- Identification. When BankID is required for you, you cannot go online without a valid identification. The same identified person cannot be online on two driver accounts at the same time.
- No location. If the app does not receive your location for a few minutes, you are counted as offline.
Blocks for rest, driving time and identification are stored with the time and the reason for 12 months, so that the taxi company can show the supervisory authority that the rules are followed.
6. Suspension
Only a person can suspend your account: someone in SeeYouSoon's taxi team or, for the company's drivers, the owner or a manager at your taxi company. Every suspension has a written reason, and you receive the reason in the app. Whoever lifts a suspension also writes down why.
We suspend an account, for example, when documents are false, when you break the law or these terms, or when a customer has been put in danger. Blocks for rest, driving time and documents in section 5 are not a suspension: they end when the rest, the time or the document is sufficient again.
7. Review of decisions and questions
If you think a decision or a block is wrong, or you want to know why it happened, tap «Request a review» under «How dispatch works» in the app. The case goes to SeeYouSoon's driver liaison, a person in our taxi team. They go through the case and reply to you in writing with the reasons. If information about you is wrong, for example a time online, we correct it. No one can make an exception to the rules on rest.
If the decision concerns your taxi company's suspension, the driver liaison takes it up with the company. You can also reach customer service at [email protected], and send questions about your personal data to [email protected].
8. Data we collect, and when
- When you apply: your details and documents, your driver photo and your car.
- When you are online: your location, about every 15 seconds and more often during a ride. We store only the latest location, and it is deleted when you go offline. If you have a ride in progress, it is kept until the ride has ended.
- When you are offline the app sends no location, and we collect nothing about where you are.
- About your work: when you go online and offline, your breaks and what you add yourself, the rides you drive, customers' ratings and the blocks in section 5.
- About the terms: which version you have tapped «I accept the driver terms» on, and when.
The taxi company you drive for sees, among other things, your name, the status of your documents, your working hours and, while you are online, your location. Who sees what and how long the data is kept is set out in the privacy policy. It also explains how you can obtain or delete your data.
9. In-car music and Spotify
If you share a Spotify Jam with the customer, you use your own Spotify account and your own Spotify Premium. You are yourself responsible for complying with Spotify's terms. The customer sees «Join driver's Jam» only when your company has confirmed a valid music licence and you have declared that you have Spotify Premium. The link is deleted when the shift ends.
10. For tow drivers
A towing job is offered to one driver at a time, closest first, among drivers who are online in a company that provides that kind of help and whose price fits within what the customer was shown. You have a limited time to respond. If you decline, the job moves on, and you will not get the same job again. If you do not respond, it moves on.
The customer pays your company directly. The customer's rating counts towards the company's rating, not your own. Your location is collected while you are online or have a job, and it is deleted when you go offline. The company decides who drives for it. If you want a decision reviewed, write to customer service in the app or at [email protected]. A person goes through the case and replies to you in writing.
11. Changes to the terms
When we change the driver terms, we publish the new version here with its date. The next time you are about to go online, the app shows a summary of and a link to the new version, and you cannot go online until you have actively tapped «I accept the driver terms».
